Fresh cold crisp raw oysters from PEI with lunch in maryville? Yes please. The grouper plate was also super fresh never frozen. As a 3rd gen native floridian, i know my seafood. This is impressive level of fresh in greater knoxville. Well done.
Finally tried "The Shrimp Dock". It did NOT disappoint. Very bright and clean restaurant. Lots of options on the menu and reasonably priced. Customer service was great and the best part the food was delicious. My husband got the stir fry and he loved it. I got the boom boom shrimp tacos with fried artichokes and potato salad. It was all so so good. It was more than enough food we even had a little leftover to take home. Can't wait to go back and try more but also loved what I had I may get it again So so yummmy
Great options, however they should work on there seafood boil and work on there butter garlic sauce and if someone says they want heat then it should be a dash and should be mixed with the sauce, not be so HOTT that it’s not edible. (Ask storming crab)how they make there sauce and how they mix it all together, like your corn,potatoes,sausage,etc. So not to compare, but for those who live in maryville/Alcoa and don’t want to drive to Knoxville and want to give there business to (the shrimp dock ),then let them give us some butter garlic sauce with old bay and or some heat. FYI: DON’T SHOOT THE MESSENGER
Really good shrimp po boy. It comes loaded with plenty of shrimp. I had to eat half the shrimp off the sandwich to be able to pick it up and eat it. The staff were very friendly. They have a really good selection of seafood dishes on the menu. They also offer a wide selection of fresh seafood to take home to cook. If you haven't tried it, I would highly recommend stopping by for a bite.
Tiffany and her front of house co-worker were excellent! They provided wonderful service. Back of house staff was having a rough day, but Tiffany and co-worker handled everything beautifully. We will continue to dine at Shrimp Dock :)
Second time I've been to shrimp dock. Quick lesson. Make sure you walk around the counter to the left as well because there's more goodies over there. I have gotten one size down from jumbo shrimp the last two times and made amazing jambalaya both times. Favorite thing that I've gotten from this shrimp dock is their crab cakes. Olive oil in a frying pan, I'd say temperature should be two down from the maximum heat.. Put about an eighth of an inch of olive oil in the bottom of the pan, a minute and a half on each side, and when I say each side I mean try to turn it four times so that you catch all four sides. They come out perfect. The staff is amazing and I am very impressed with the quality of the fish and seafood.
My boyfriend and I came here for the first time since we have heard great things from friends and family. Not only were we surprised at the diverse selection available, the customer service from everyone was great. Mona made sure to go above and beyond to make our first visit the best it could be. My boyfriend also noticed how the food was prepped in a way that showed they cared about the quality. The food was tasty and had good portion sizes. We will definitely be back!
Oh my goodness! This restaurant has the most delicious fish. It was like eating at a high end gulf restaurant. You will be amazed. I recommend you try this place, you won't be disappointed.
